Issue 22 are an indie/rock band based in Bournemouth, UK.

The band consist of Becky on lead vocals, Lionel on lead guitar, Pete on rhythm guitar, on bass we have Dave and on the drums it's Tony.

We've been gigging since August 2009 and have put together some tunes of the indie/rock variety. Our Influences include bands such as The Doors, Nirvana, Talking Heads, Muse, The Who, Hendrix, Paramore and Skunk Anansie to name just a few.

So Issue completed their first demo in December 2011 and as I'm writing are up to 20th in the local Rock Chart. You can listen to and download the tunes (to keep us in the chart) from here
Issue 22's downloadable tunes. We've been getting the demo out there and are hoping to be playing a lot more gigs this year, with the addition of some good old festivals thrown in to the pot too! There are details of some gigs already up, with more to be confirmed soon, so go and check them out.

Above you will have noticed the new Issue 22 mosaic, if you check it out closely you will see that there are pictures going back to the beginning of Issue, up to the current lineup, we hope you enjoy it.

At the bottom of this page you will see a badge we obtained from the BBC, for joining their Upload a Track campaign, where we are hoping to get our music on Radio 1; and talking of the radio, Issue 22 did an Interview on Bay Radio 102.8FM on Sunday 8th January with Allan Turner-Ward. If you missed it we are currently trying to get a copy of the interview to put up on the website, we'll let you know soon so watch this space! We did leave our tracks with the Bay Radio, so get on the phone, hassle them and get them playing our music, thanks guys!

Thanks to Tim Heywood for this review.

Issue 22 are the headline act tonight. Lead singer Becky has a rich strong good voice, and is able to wail suitably. They merge original material and covers, and have some great music going underneath her voice; pacey, rhythmic & melodic. I’m really enjoying the set, despite the bad language and a bit of flaff factor between songs. This flaff surprises me, since Issue 22 are well rehearsed during the songs – e.g. snap endings are tight as are song breaks.

Good grunge sound, loads of feedback which empties the front room of Chaplins (I have my earplugs, I’m alright) then breaking into a stonking set of bass-led riffs. I’ve also not mentioned Tony Twodogs on drums playing some awesome cross beats on toms and cowbell – I have now…
